It is my great pleasure to invite you to The First Eurasian Congress on
Emergency Medicine on November 5 - 9, 2008 in Antalya, Turkey.
With its motto ”Emergency Medicine – Shaping Medicine in the 21st Century”
the conference will underline the present and future impact of Emergency
Medicine on health care globally, regionally, and nationally while providing a
unique opportunity to share knowledge, experience, technologic advances,
research and most of all fellowship beyond national boundaries.
No matter how different our national health care systems are, as physicians and
health care providers in the Emergency Room we will find ourselves united in the
quest for providing the best possible Emergency Medical care and are often faced
with similar challenges: be it at the bedside, dealing with administrative
issues, facing disasters or by being involved in medical education and policy
making.
This Intercontinental Congress will be a catalyst for academic and scientific
exchange and growth through internationally renowned faculty participation,
hands-on sessions, and group meetings thus underlining the importance of
International Emergency Medicine as a platform for regional and national
Emergency Medicine development.
Topics will include - but are not limited to: Advances in Clinical Emergency
Medicine, emergency care standardizations, pre-hospital care systems, disaster
preparedness, and Emergency Medicine education. Preceding the actual conference
days will be hands-on workshops in ultrasonography, disaster preparedness, minor
procedures and patient simulation. In addition, there will be a scientific /
research track with poster sessions and discussions and vendor exhibits.
All lectures / instructions are either in English or simultaneously translated
into English.
Obviously, participants will have ample time and opportunity to enjoy Antalya
and its beautiful and history laden surroundings. The city of Antalya offers
outstanding hospitality, amazing sightseeing, archeological exploring, great
dining, excellent shopping or just pure enjoyment and relaxation.
